These Kisses were inspired by my pink series. When I introduce a new color to my work, I obsess over it. Inks bleed different colors depending on what you add and how you stress them. This particular hue was very light pigmented, so this color is about three times more expensive to create than my other colors, like green or blue.
There were so many ideas and feelings these beautiful colors brought on. To me, these little Kisses emanate such a loving, inviting, and lucky presence to me.
Love is a topic that has frequently been a part of my art in the past, and it made perfect sense that it came up again in this collection. I think love is the single greatest thing in the world. No matter your beliefs, walk in life, one universal truth is the goodness of love. Whether you are showing love for yourself or for a cherished person in your life, I think we can all use a little reminder of the goodness of love.
